There is plenty of space to add gardens in addition to the much utilized park/playground space. I’m surprised you’d want to rid of it at all.

I think the community needs more clarity regarding the vision for Schaeffer and Beverly. The Borough should host a town hall meeting to gather input and explain MS4 permit requirements.

First Schaffer School playground goes, now they want to repurpose Beverly?? Kids from this part of town would have to go all the way to Eisenhower or Hoover to play! Keep the play facilities in Beverly, and address the water issues.

We enjoy visiting Beverly Park during our visits to family in CH. Everyone from Grandma to the little ones enjoys the space. Camp Hill already has too few places for kids to play safely. It would be a mistake and a loss to take this one away.

Look into purchasing the property at Merion — that will offset the rain water requirements and allow for a much needed path from the 27th Street tunnel into country club hills.

I live in between the Schaeffer property and Beverly Park. Since living here, we have lost an elementary school, the library and the Giant store. We do not want to lose Beverly, which is a heavily used pocket park. Retaining the current amenities at Beverly Park, while addressing the storm water management issues makes sense to me. The Schaeffer project should not be linked to changing the current usage of Beverly Park.

The borough needs to find another place to fulfill their MS4 Permit requirements. It appears since the Schaeffer Park project was nixed, they need to find another place to implement their stormwater reduction plan.
I requested Merion Rd as an excellent place to do this and where we need a path to the back side of the underpass, so kids didn’t have to go out Creston, where accidents occur weekly.

We oppose turning Beverly Park into a rain garden. This park is heavily utilized by families and kids of all ages for recreation.
Drainage issues should be addressed in a different manner and the recreation space should be preserved.

My kids have grown up going to Beverly Park. My son still uses the basketball court. Every time I drive by the park there are a ton of kids and families playing there. I am shocked that anyone would want to get rid of a park that is so loved and well used.

Keep the playground equipment and fix the flooding issues. The one spot they have marked as a inlet is actually where most of the water from regent, north 30th street, and Beverley drains to of and makes that mound.

Please do not turn this park into a "Rain Garden". This idea is a "cop-out" on the part of the council; the community wants an actual solution to water drainage issues, and not a band-aid that robs our children of a great park in the process.

We have lived across from the park for nearly 50 years and it's been a memorable part of our 5 Sons lives and now our 13 grandchildren.
