We must keep the Post Office in Register Square. It is impractical to move it to WHSmith. Listen to the people !

The Register Sq Po is very bad at utilising space, it needs a complete make over and made more Disabled Friendly, if WH Smith can provide modern facilities and access I won't be the only person who thinks a move is a good idea .

this is a ludicrous idea - present post office struggles to cope with amount of business - WHS is too small to accommodate this service.

the idea of moving the main Beverely post office into WH Smith is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a long time. The WHS shop will NOT cope with the amount of business transacted.

As a non driver I need to walk to a post office. The Beverley Post Office is always efficient and helpful, especially as I am registered blind; there are often very long queues out onto the pavement. Smiths does not have the floor space to accommodate the volume of customers and would also need a separate room for financial advice offered by the existing Post Office. I feel that The Post Office needs to furnish their customers with a comprehensive justification for closing this much used branch.

Ridiculous idea wanting to move the Beverley post office branch into WHSmith. It is already fairly cramped where it is and there are always queues when I use it, so how this busy office can possibly be accommodated within a small WHSmith store is beyond me.

Beverley is a busy town and has a busy Post Office. There is not enough room in WHS to have those sort of numbers along with its own shoppers.

Insufficient space in WHS. Would promote online trade to detriment of our high street

NO -impossible to locate in Smiths, I can hardly walk through NOW. We NEED this Post Office and it's facilities to carry parcels through to the counter. In a store like the Prospect Centre in Hull it seems to work but it will not work in a poky hole like Smiths.- Think again. -Ernie

Hope more people sign to stop this act of irresponsibility. Beverley is large enough to support a proper post office. WHSmith's shop is too small & cramped to do the job properly

It is a ridiculous suggestion to site the post office or even a counter in the W H Smith. One can hardly get into the store as it is and far more space would be required for post office services. Keep the Post Office at Register Square!

Closure is such a stupid idea. As others have said, the existing office is almost always busy. Smiths cannot possibly accomodate the number of users of the PO counter service. There seems to be a determination to drive us all to do everything on-line, which is never going to be achievable or indeed desirable. Or is it a deliberate plot to destroy the Post Office in its entirity?

Don’t close another P.O. especially not in a town like Beverley where there’s nothing else around.

The current Post Office is well used and with the future development of Beverley it is likely to be even busier. The layout of W H Smith does not lend itself to any additional services. Also with rumours of the impending closure of some branches of W H Smith how long before the one in Beverley closes. This would then leave us with no Post Office facility in the town.
