Mr Milner ran Betty Browns into the mid 1970s. A Yorkshire man, friend of my grandmother, he welcomed all customers with great personal touch. Cream tea and scones. Lots of ex army clients. A rare bit of Camberley history.

I am dismayed at the idea of demolition of one of Camberley's last remaining building recognised by English Heritage.

Can one not at least save the fassade of the building?

This facade is so distinctive it needs to be kept for posterity. Much of the character of Camberley has been swept away in the name of progress. For goodness sake save this building from demolition.

I have known and enjoyed meals in this building for over sixty years. It's eccentricity is a delight. Please spare it, because it IS eccentric and can raise a smile in a drab world of "improvers".

This is the most attractive building on the A30 and I cannot believe SHBC are allowing this. Should be highlighted on local media asap
