This would truly be a sad day for Beaumont citizens. Young or old everyone uses it and not just winter but every season there are people on it. It would be a shame to lose this space. This is an extra outlet for so many youth.

This rink is used all year round for various school and community events including bike rodeos, shiny hockey, learn to skate days, broom-ball, recess courtyard games, Jump Rope for Heart skipping events, Winter Fun Day, lacrosse practices, pick up basketball and many more. It is well used, needed, and valued. Do not remove this community resource!

As a parent of two children who attend Bellevue School, I know first hand the tremendous benefit of having the outdoor rink. My kids are able to use the rink during school hours as permitted and we often use this rink in the winter. It is a staple here in Beaumont and has been essential to our community feel. It would be a shame to get rid of something that promotes physical activity and that offers a free and family friendly option for being outdoors in the winter. I would much rather see the rink revitalized. It quite often has the best ice surface in the winter. We would hate to see it go. Please consider an alternative to dismantling this wonderful piece of our community. Let’s give back to it instead, after all, it has offered us so much over the years.

Being a city with most of our youth involved in some sort of ice activities in the winter we need as much rink availability as possible. Central Beaumont needs a rink allocated to them, not just the 4 quadrants.

This is a place where we spent many many hours as kids and have many great memories of cold nights playing the game we all love with life long friends. It was be a shame to loose such a great place.
