We are attempting to save beginners' Latin at Hills Road Sixth Form College Cambridge. The beginners' course is quite possibly unique in offering the Latin language from scratch to A Level standard, at a state sixth form, and gives the opportunity to study Latin at university to those who otherwise would not have been able to.
We are approaching two hundred and fifty signatures which provides the necessary scale for our formal submission to the college board. Please direct this petition to individuals who can highlight our request in local education circulars to ensure the administration sees sustained pressure.

Keep it. Latin opens so many doors for people later on and it would be a huge loss for the college.

Latin is such a brilliant skill to have. Please keep this running for the students who really want to learn it.

Ridiculous decision. This is one of the few places where you get a real chance to start a new language like this from scratch.
