Save Beckford – Stop ECV doubling the size of the village

This development will spoil this lovely village for ever, so let's stop it.

Outside private developers and a agricultural land owner jointly out to increase their bank balance at the expense of villagers living in a rural location. This proposed development has proven to offer nothing to Beckford Village in fact quite the reverse and has been firmly rejected at the initial planning stage. The arrogant comment of “if we don’t get planning permission then we will go to appeal and win” raises a serious question of just how much influence and support does this developer have in the wider planning system to have this overbearing degree of confidence ?

Our village has similarly suffered from disproportionate development despite lack of infrastructure.

This nation needs care homes but this alone is not sufficient a reason to build without due care and attention. It must be tempered with facilty, sewer, waste & road infrastructure and in the context with preservation of wildlife and village life. Villages like Beckford are wholly inappropriate. Small towns are better suited and the planners need to stand firm, direct and assist alternative sites to such developers. Say NO and STOP this appeal.

Enough is enough and development of green sites has to stop.

I love this village it.pleasure to visit it . Would not like to see such a development in Beckford as it would ruin the peace and tranquillity this beautiful village offers

Please don't ruin all our pretty villages with unnecessary developments

Totally out of keeping with the area

Having only moved to this stunning village nearly two years ago, the thought of it being ruined by an oversized development fills me with absolute dread. This must be stopped so that residents and visitors alike can continue to enjoy it.

There is no justification for this, it will only serve to line the pockets of a few, most of whom aren't even from around here. Please don't let this happen.

Speculative development, absolutely shameful.The loss of stunning protected countryside and dark starry sky's with light pollution will never be seen by future generations.

I love this village and don't want it spoilt by this monstrosity

Totally inappropriate development in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for purely financial gain!

Why ruin a nice village with a huge development which would totally out of character with the existing village.

We must stop this catastrophic proposal.

Beckford would never be the same again if this happened. It has to be stopped.
