Please continue to keep this preschool alive (at least another year) for those who were depending on it.

Having been the member of a family, all who attended Alameda, Beaumont and Grant High School, employed in the PPS system and raised a successful child thru Sabin, Beaumont and Grant, I know there are various obstacles in orchestration of transitions... but this seems like a very do-able item on the list. Really? One classroom? Insurance factors I'm guessing. This can be solved. My Grandmother started the lunch program at Alameda Grade School in it's early years. My Grandfather started the safety patrol program there. My niece helped found a technical high school in Brooklyn, New York in the last five years. This cannot be so much greater a challenge. Please understand how valuable this will be for students of our district. The parents enrolled are clearly invested. Aren't these the kind of families we need here? Please give this the attention it deserves.

affordable daycare is essential in this day and age, so PPS needs to find an alternative space since they originally promised this!

I urge you to find space for this important program. Study after study shows the importance of quality pre-k programming. This is always important but especially important not to pull this resource during a year of so much transition. It seem impossible that there are not rooms that will be free in at least one of the Tubman feeder schools next year. This should be a given that PPS would work hard to maintain these important partnerships that allow them to better serve the families that commit to PPS. The IED/Beaumont Pre-K programa are invaluable for helping young children transition into the PPS system. Please find the program a home.

Please find a temporary, and then permanent space for this valuable program. Mir and team have become a seamless extension of the Irvington school and community, providing high quality education and care for incoming students. To say it would be a loss to families and the school community would be a vast understatement.

Please find space for this amazing NE Community Pre-K. Affordable quality childcare is extremely hard to find in this city. My child benefited immensely and was completely prepared for kindergarten due to IED.

Please provide space for this great program that continues to provide high quality PreK at a reasonable cost to our community. With 4 under enrolled schools in the area once the Tubman opens next year I am confident PPS can find capacity in one of the buildings to keep this program operating. From personal experience it prepared my two kids so well for kindergarten that the transition from PreK to K was seamless. Their kinder teachers appreciated it as well.

IED is an essential program to me, my family and to many many other parents and guardians. Not only is it essential, the program is amazing and my daughter LOVES her IED staff and the activities she does while in the program. I am a PPS high school teacher and have been working without a contract for a couple of years. This adds insult to injury and is (and this part is not kid-friendly) bull!@#!

Our family has used IED for five years and it is an amazing program, run by caring and dynamic adults. All children deserve quality, affordable daycare and t he peace of mind that comes with that. Please do the right thing, PPS. Beaumont Alameda deserves a space for IED and Pre-K.

Our family has used IED since kindergarten (5yrs total). It is a wonderful program that provides a safe, affordable and nurturing environment for the children of working families. PPS should prioritize its inclusion as the changes in NE PDX PPS schools go into effect. PPS has a over supply of facility resources and it is ridiculous to claim that this program cannot be accommodated going forward. PPS also clearly receives revenue from IED so, in an era of budget shortfalls, another clear rationale that PPS should work with the program to find a home. Do the right thing!

IED is an incredible program. Our kids have participated in pre-K and before/after care and summer camp. We are fortunate at Irvington for it to continue. I would want the same great childcare for our fellow parents to the northeast. Please find a location for Beaumont Alameda Pre-K!

Our child has been participating in IED's before and after school programs for five years now. They run an amazing program and provide a service that no one else in the neighborhood provides. It's essential for working families to have this resource in the community. Please reconsider your decision, PPS, and find a home for this important program!

This is a fantastic program. If it disappeared from Irvington, I do not know what we would do. We need more of this kind of program, not less. Please reconsider what you have done to these families at Beaumont Alemada. Thank you.
