Many other areas in Ekurhuleni need development, not the BCC site. Rather develop a productive farm on Benoni outskirts for the needy. Create labour, food and wealth.

Absolutely shocking that the municipality would even consider the proposal, obviously someone's pocket has been lined once again!! Benoni Country Club is a part of Benoni's history and offers a safe haven and sanctuary not only to the wildlife but to our kids who can ride mountain bike trails, appreciate our diminishing wildlife, play golf, or just be kids by playing and running around in a safe environment while the parents enjoy the hospitality of a great venue, there are no more safe reacreational parks for the community to enjoy , as law and order seems to be a thing of the passed, as well as for the fact the council no longer service ther parks, over grown and public ablutions either dilapidated or broken down, access control is non existent and the police don't care have actually warned public to avoid certain parks as they have been taken over by drug peddlers and thugs
