How daft is this, lovely peaceful battersea park will become a local dump for the month of june, with an expected 40,000 spectators descending on the Park. Yet again, money first and sod the environment!! What kind of people are these Councilors, do they actually live on our Planet.
Disgraceful lack of regard for local residents - whose views have not even been sought.

I am a resident who lives within 50 metres of the park. The use of this beautiful park as a racetrack is wholly inappropriate. Any excuse for this as a benefit for the community is questionable being that the partners and sponsors are global corporates. I have not seen any involvement for local people and business.

It would be such a shame to spoil this lovely park. The park is not designed for this type of thing and isnt there enough pollution going on in London.

Battersea Park is one of the London's Gems. There are many wildlife species that thrive in the Park, and should remain a place where we respect these. It is a relaxing park for all that visit, this type of enterprising is not welcome by local residents and more effort must be made to consult residents about such changes in the future, however i fear the reason many were bot consulted is due to the fact that they already knew this would not be welcome.

It is stunning how little effort was made to involve the users of the park in initial disscussions. I am an everyday user of the park which is absolutely essential public space in London. Closing it off for almost a week to organize what is essentialy a commercial event is ludicrous. Absolute majority of the park users do not benefit from this event ,neither were iinformed about the event.

Absolutely immoral what the Council is doing without consulting local residents, and ruining such a beautiful park, not to mention denying the public access to the park which we pay for through our local taxes. Shame on you WBC! Totally losing any respect for this council!

It's unbelievable that a Council can get away with this without any consultation with the local people.

Noisy enterprise not suited to a park designed to be a peaceful oasis in the south london urban sprawl. Bad idea.

Wandsworth Council appears to have taken leave of its senses. Battersea Park is entirely inappropriate for an event of this kind.

Knocking down trees with no permission, creating noise and disruption in the Park and the residential area, denying the public access to this green and peaceful space is wrong. Beyond this year the event should be forbidden.

Battersea Park belongs to the publick. It was the 1st park to be created in the whole of the country. It was suggested by Albert and Victoria who came across the river from their own private park in Kensington, as the gas lights were installed

Teaching children's about the nature world should be seen as one of the most important events of their lives not giving them motors speed and noise. Council should promote local and national residents to stay connected to nature and protect our parks. Look deep in to nature to understand beauty of the nature and we never notice the beauty of the nature because we are too busy try to creating it, within nature lies cure for humanity and I hope we understand before its too late !

This is an outrage! How could it be done without consultation?
