i love Motorsport but there is no logical justification for holding this event in a public park, permanently damaging it and reducing amenity value for the local residents! Use a race track or closed roads!

I am appalled that this event was given the go ahead in our small local public park , with greenery and shrubs destroyed to widen the tarmac for a so called 'green event'. Why has a beautiful park been taken over for this event? The toilets have all recently been refurbished, I'm guessing not at at cost of £200,000... there are already major faults with the main block of ladies toilets which have since been closed on various occasions....

Wandsworth Council should know better. There are so many good initiatives in Wandsworth and we really don't need this kind of disruption and environmentally unfriendly activity to have a vibrant community life.

Really disappointed as this is a Park not a race track. And for the park to be closed for a couple of days is wrong...wondered what they were doing with the paths and it all makes sense now. No consultation...everything about this is wrong!
