this is an absolute disgrace, the Council are receiving a cash incentive from Formula E to allow this whilst the Park is torn upside down and receives peanuts. It's not 6 days of inconvenience, it's months! Please don't allow this to renew new to year

i know of no consultation carried out with local residents. Did the council fulfil their statutory obligation in this regard? If not slap an injunction on the event. Totally inappropriate. Event for a local park

We want our park back. It is crazy that with all the circuits we have in uk you come and disrupt a beautiful park. Two week fir a 2 hour race? SIMPLY CRAZY

I live at the South Eastern corner of the park and whilst I was generally supportive of the e-race and actually bought tickets for the Sunday event, I'm absolutely shocked at the level of disruption caused by the 'event build out'. I never thought it would be as intrusive as it is - I can't walk my toddler over to the park or find anywhere decent to play. I don't want the event to get so big in future years that it persuades people to move out of the area for its duration. I was not consulted in writing by Wandsworth Council - and more shockingly the zoo in the park weren't either and are having to move the animals out of the park and suspend all memberships for 2 weeks at their cost. BAD PLANNING/CONSULTATION.

I was amazed to find so little space left for normal enjoyment today. Everywhere was barricaded and dog walking involved finding holes in the fences and avoiding heavy lifting gear. A part of school children were struggling to find the athletics track for their sports day. The construction workers had no idea how to direct them through the maze of fences and lorries. I would like to see the figures to understand how much money the park will make out of this and also other local parks. I strongly urge the community to call for complete transparency on this, so we can make up our minds in an informed way as to the benefits of this disruption.

I move to the area recently. Battersea Park is the place where I can relax after long day in busy city centre. Idea with the racing cars making noise! Well done! But MAYBE someone should ask for opinion people living around who use this place to relax with kids etc. I believe is a lot of different places for that kind of events.One more time well done! But this is stupid idea!!! If i want to watch FE i would rather play on ps4!!!

love electric cars but this totally the wrong location and there was absolutely consultation that I saw. Security was shipped in from Blackpool you can't even cycle through the park now and the event is still some time away. Can't see this doing any good at all for local people, children, animals. What is the name of the councellor who proposed/ supported this?

On top of all the disruption this 'project' has inflicted on the park's daily users, it has created a very unsafe environment. Cyclist no longer know where to go and run into people; the lorries and other industrial vehicles back into trees and one day a person or dog. There is an a serious accident waiting to happen! And what about us dog walkers, that use the park every day? And the the dog walkers at Battersea Dog's Home ? Where are they suppose to walk? This is not a 4 days disruption, but a 3 weeks one. Hard to endure one year, 5 NO THANKS!
