'The cage' circuit is ruining my enjoyment of the park every morning. Move it to Silverstone!

I am amazed and very angry that Formula 1 has been passed as acceptable in the middle of London . The construction of the track is very dangerous . There has been no concideration of HEALTH and SAFETY. I am TOTALLY AGAINST this ever happening again .

This event only came to my attention when cycling through the park on 15th June. Considerable damage has already been done and considerable damage can only be expected to the nature and the terrified wildlife when this event goes ahead. Extremely disappointed in a poor decision by the council.

FormulaE is a clear demonstration of the lack of consideration and foresight of the impact of such major and disruptive events on the wellbeing and enjoyment of the park by locals. For several weeks, Children and adults who regularly use the park to commute safely to school or work are relegated to less safe roads, A sacrosanct space for peaceful enjoyment is cordoned off, the playground is virtually inaccessible, Joggers, walkers and cyclists endeavouring to keep fit are struggling to navigate uneven surfaces and poorly marked paths, People and animals on wheels and feet have had their regular sharing space reduced to mere centimetres of make-shift paths, risking collisions. This financially driven and mis-guided arrangement is ill-conceived, and we request that you break the contract and halt the longer term health and environmental ramifications that FormulaE will have on the Battersea and surrounding community.

The park has already been half shut down two weeks before the start of the race, and I guess there will be another two weeks lost for cycling, etc. after the race. My kids are plain and simple distraught. We only have maybe four good months of spring/summer in this country, losing a full month of this for this travesty show is completely unacceptable. The entire park is just some amalgamation of concret and steel, please stop this immediately!!

Our beautiful park has been defiled. We must ensure that the break clause is excercised.

Battersea Park should be about wide open spaces, plants and the natural environment, and a place where children can run around and parents can push prams unmolested by roads and traffic; in short, a park - the clue is in the name. A weekend in late June is exactly the time when people who can't escape to the countryside will want to make full use of their local park to enjoy it as a park, as somewhere to escape the traffic. To fill the park with crowds and racing cars at a time when we should be encouraging people to get outdoors and play sport or go for walks contradicts everything for which a park is created.

is a public park with many birds that surely won't appreciate the noise from such a nonsense event.

Absolutely disgusting. Profit over public recreation. A park I have visited daily for 20 years, but no more of this continues to happen every year. Yet another repulsive decision by the council.

Don't be ridiculous; what an outrageous thing to do. This is not an appropriate use of parkland and is pure opportunism not worthy of a council supposed to be stewarding an area for the public good.

Battersea Park is sacred and Formula E is a disgrace; Wandsworth Council, you're a much better council than this, just prove it and cancel this contract.
