this is totally innapropriate use of our much needed haven from the hectic city. I walk my dog here every day and the work has been going on for weeks before the actual race we cannot even get around the park. this must end immediately.quality of life over money.

Please protect our only few place we can relax in this city... Our parks. They are crucial for our livelihood and mental health. They should be protected as national treasures but the national heritage trust. That should protect them from being converted into a prison. no to HMP Battersea Park.

It's not just disruptive, it's unrespectful that there are no signs indicating the only 2 ways into the playground, one of which has no paved road

This should never be repeated. This ruins the enjoyment of the park for many weeks during one of the loveliest times of the year for several weeks. This is a public park for the opublic and should not be ruined for what is effectively a private event. This was extremely ill judged by wandsworth council. I wonder how much vested interests allowed this to go ahead with so little public consultation.

This is beautiful park and does not require an event like this.Not to mention the up evil of the local people and surrounding roads. There seems to be no consideration to the people that use this park daily.

initially I was in favour of the use of the park for the race however I am now unwaveringly against the idea. It remains to be seen how the park/community will benefit, I look forward to seeing how much money the council puts back into what is, and should remain to be, a beautiful, family friendly area of what is an ever developing London.

What on earth possessed Wandsworth Council to do this to one of Londons most beautiful and tranquil green spaces. How could the council get this so wrong. Please encourage others to sign this petition so that we have a collective voice to stop this madness ever happening again.

it is appallingly inconsiderate to local families to make the park almost unusable during the best part of a month at the height of the summer. A terrible disappointment for so many.
