Anger is the only word I can think of. Sheer anger. I moved here because of the park. Summer is key for our children and dogs. We are angry that this has happened.

Please do not maintain Formula E in Battersea Park - This is taking the Park away for three weeks. And the disruption is everything but minimal.

Shameful and highly disruptive privatisation of a much-used public space at the height of summer when the park should be giving the most joy and use to the public.

I live on Prince of Wales Drive, on the corner of the park, and have done so for over a decade. I was never consulted on this, and would have objected had I been. It is a disgrace to close a whole public park for a private ticketed event at all, let alone for four or five whole days, longer if one counts the fortnight of disruption around the setting up and derigging. This has all the hallmarks of a revenue generating vanity project. What a shame to close the park to the local community, in mid summer when it is most enjoyed.

The Council sees fit to disrupt for almost a month all activities that normally take place in the park. Sport, recreation, dog walking, visits to the zoo, even the recycling banks are gone. Are they making an assessment of the impact this even will have on the flora and wild life of the park?

This is a disgraceful misuse of the park which is there for the use of all local residents and a big disruption to the extensive wildlif. The park is not only closed for 4 days. The disruption is for a month at least in the middle of the summer when people, children and dogs need the park more than ever.

Aside from the severe environmental consequences, for many people our parks are our only opportunity to access green spaces on a daily basis. Limiting access by hosting events like this limits use, which affects the health and wellbeing benefits of these spaces. This should be council's primary concern. Not making money.

This is an outrage, particularly at this time of year. I live just near the Park and am not aware of any consultation having taken place at all. It has been covertly permitted and should be stopped.

It's shameful to wreck such a beautiful park for such an environmentally unsound event. Please leave our parks alone.

A park in not a racing circuit. This is totally inappropriate. The park should be for the peaceful enjoyment of people

Ruining the park. Council showing total disregard for local opinions per usual. Local residents were not even consulted.

We use this park to escape the extremely busy roads that surround it, it's completely unfair on the residents to fill the park with speeding cars, whether they're electric or not it's irrelevant.
