Without proper consultation and liaison with immediate local community, this event is unfortunately leaving a negative footprint on a beautiful area of London. It is failing to recognise the communities wishes. It raises serious question marks regarding lack of consideration for Health and Safety issues. Another concern is why the local council has handled the situation so poorly. Whilst all of London's parks, including Royal Parks can be used for commercial purposes, including major motion picture filming, this 'event' feels wholly out of context with the local surroundings and does not seem to be benefitting the local community in any way. Poor show by all involved.

It's a park for peace,green space and relaxation....not a race track....if you want to race e cars go to a proper racetrack outside London......

what is so appalling to me is that the park is not just closed for 2 days but effectively closed for almost a month at the most beautiful time of year. The impact of the disruption and noise on the parks wild birds will be devastating. why bring this destruction to our beautiful and peaceful green space

No to formula E. The park was unbearable last year and the increased traffic (lorries) a danger to all those with dogs and young children.

I lived for many years near Battersea Park and am horrified at the decision by Wandsworth Council to enter into this deal. There has been no consideration given to the impacts on local people who come to the park for recreation and leisure, peace, tranquility, the children who play in the park and the wildlife that inhabit the park. This is totally inappropriate.

Parks are for repose, recreation and reflection, and a chance to enjoy a natural surrounding peacfully. God knows we have enough roads in London, stuffed with cars! Battersea Park is an oasis. The racing cars may be electric, but the event has involved closure of the park, damage and desecration, which is exactly why Wandsworht residents did not want it in the first place. Think again Wandsworth!

Battersea Park is not fit for motor racing purposes.
Last year's event just turned our beloved park into a commercial and polluting mayhem that caused disruptions to us all, but also to all of the park's wildlife: perruches, ducks, squirrels, swans, etc.
Is this a way the borough has found to privatise the park and make a profit out of it?
Let us leave Battersea Park to wildlife lovers.

Motor racing should take place on proper motor racing circuits. they have bene buiilt for a reason . we do not need to noise and pollution invoved in motor racing in oiur inner cities. Niether do we want battersea park to look like a motor racing circuit. Bonkers!!

There is no justification for rehosting this event and Wandsworth council should enact the contractual break clause immediately. Any kind of motor racing is dangerous and apart from the pollution and distruption to the park, should take place on a proper race track.
