Very concerned to see the park being destroye this week, particularly given the amount of construction work and changes to the transport infrastructure in Queenstown Road. Wandsworth council have clearly given no-thought to council tax paying residents and people who use the park for recreation.

The politician to blame is Jonathan Cook please email him at once on [email protected] refuses to answer why he thinks the event has caused no damage to the park or disturbance to park users and local residents. Please contact him and demand he answers

On top of all the other issues, the construction workers have been unfriendly and aggressive to park users, as if they are right to pollute our park, and you can no longer bike throught the park, disrupting thousand of green bike yourneys for the 3 weeks,-

June and July are prime times for the public to enjoy a beautiful green lung like Battersea Park. Instead, it is already chaotic and will be completely shut - once a year for 5 years. In return, the council have got around £1 million- the value of maybe a garage in the neighbouring area. Not impressed at their cost-benefit calculation.

This is a particularly inappropriate development, since there already exists in south London another park with a purpose-built race track

Shame on the Council:- this looks like a quick money making venture rather than an activity in line with the cultural, educational and entertainment (something for all to dip in and out of rather than noise across the park) ethos. There is too much noise in London already - preserve this space and capitalise on fun days; cultural events etc.

I was in Battersea Park yesterday and shocked by the chaos and destruction already. This park should be a green haven for residents and visitors and not a race track.

this is a beautiful park that is used by families that live here, people also travel far to come here. I have visit battersea park for over 40 years and it has been transferred into a gorgeous place to take the family. Now Wandsworth council saw it fit to sign a contract without informing people that they have turned it into a race track. Destroying tress plants and wild life. Wandsworth council you should be ashamed of yourselves. Even you can be bought.
