I teach in a school very close to the Park, cusrrently experiencing difficulties trying to make our way across the park to our sessions at the sports arena..the children cannot understand why the Park is being used this way.. they have voiced concern for the older people who use the Park every day, and the people with young children

It is horrible what they did in BAttersea Par.It looks like they made a jail for the gorgeous trees of Batterse.They are suffering a lot as much as the children who cannot enjoy the park and stunning tropical gardens because of ca r race.

Wht has happened to our park is an outrage. I have lived next to the park all my life and have never seen anything like this before. Why does the Council think it is entitled to pimp out the park. Who the hell bought the idea that we need a motor racing track in Battersea? There are enough of those items in Britain already and nowhere near enough parks, especially of the quality of Battersea's. It is a local treasure and our Council has defiled it. Shame on them.

Thanks for your work. I regularly run around Battersea Park and making it into a racetrack is just horrible

Totally dangerous getting children to various tennis/football classes and school sports day. We have had to school instead of walking through the park this week.

Apart from the misuse of a much loved and used public park, this is a most appalling illustration of how public servants forget that they serve the public. The public around the park and across the borough are generally opposed to this event. Shame on you Wandsworth Borough, do our elected representatives have no control over the bureaucrats who run this Council?

I'm furious, as a local, that Battersea Park has been completely taken over by this electric car racing. It was just presented as a fait accompli with no consultation. and the park will now be closed for 5 days. Having lived in the area for over 40 years and as a Friend of the Park, I have never seen such a take over of our beloved park and would seriously hope that this will never happen again. Shame on you Wandsworth Council for letting this go ahead.
