I am a local resident and I strongly object to the park being turned into a giant cage at the time of year when I use it most.

The park has been imprisoned over the last two weeks in the setting up of this ill-judged event. The disruption to everyday park users, many who have no access to other green spaces has been enormous, with many areas of the park not being able to be used and enjoyed. The FE event should move to a more suitable venue.

The parks in London are the country side to those who live her. I have walked my dog sin Battersea Park for nearly 20 year. How sad that the Councilhave agreed to such an event.

This is a shocking misuse of the park which is meant to be a public haven and green space for all. My daughter will be having her tennis club in the school parking lot this week as everywhere in the park is barricaded, screened and off limits for a race only the sponsors want.

Just crazy - I go to Battersea Park everyday to walk my dog - this is not a "venue" it is a park- completely unsuitable for this event!

If the council does not represent the people, then the people should hold the council accountable by voting the councillors out...I am not sure how the council can justify destroying such a heritage...it shows how environmentally "aware" the council is...

Went to Battersea Park at the weekend and was shocked at the appalling way the concrete and the wire fences were taking it over. All this so that WBC can pimp out our park!

This is a TERRIBLE distruction or a calm ,tranquil area which has had MUCh money and care to restore it to it's historic park feel. This will do such damage , why not put it in the Olympic site which is MUCH better suited for such commercial rubbish
