Race car users are putting cars and car parts on the stone plinth in front of the Pagoda - part of a religious space. This is just a small indication of how inappropriate and offensive this new use is.

Daily commute has been severely impacted, place of refuge from busyness of London gone. Vehicles are driving up and down here all the time, cycle lanes are not clearly marked and I have been sent down one way paths delaying my journey. Bigger picture is the pollution form all the vehicles using the Park now, the mess, the damage to the Park itself (who knows what will happen if there is a crash). Nine Elms would have been a much better location as there is already a lot of disruption and pollution around there.

This not only represents a complete misrepresentation of the fact to the community but also a complete lack of respect for the community. the degree of disruption was never revealed to the public. I also belive this is a listed park so am amazed that the council was allowed to do this in the first place. schools have had to cancel sports days and the every single person involved with or that enjoys the park has had that right removed for an extended period of time which is completely unfair.

There are dedicated car racing tracks. Parks are tranquil places to escape cars and general buzz of modern commercialised city life. This goes against everything that the parks were created for. Where does it stop when money is the driver?( pun intended) - how about a giant open air Tesco, Lidl or Oxford Street /Battersea Park mash up.

I was delighted to discover Battersea Park on a hot visit to London, a green, wildlife-filled haven where I ate my lunch amongst relaxed people. This is a horrible proposal which I hope will be reconsidered.
