This is not right! its chaos, dangerous and damaging a grade II historic park! I and others were not consulted as local residents that is undemocratic, a much needed quiet breathing space has been poorly treated in the nesting season and will be for years to come, its nothing short of criminal behaviour by the powers that be, I doubt much of the money will really benefit the park and the flora and fauna that needs protecting! not just for dog owners to foul and other activities based on the everspreading tarmac! I have seen damage to trees, seen near misses with people and heavy machinery, and today loud circling helicopters for Boris over an hour and the event hasn't even started yet! Its disgraceful its an eye sore for weeks with lasting damage, we have been quietly lied to about this event and politicians are dimissing the publics opposition at their own peril

This event has disrupted my journey to work for the two weeks. So much more could have been done to prevent the huge aggravation this has caused to the many people who enjoy this wonderful facility on a regular basis.

Batteries Park is a public space and should always be available to the public not closed down for special interest groups. It is such an important amenity for the people of south west London. This is a totally incorrect use of this space.

I would be most interested to hear all the positive reasons for holding this event in the Park because I cannot think of one... apart from the revenue going into the council coffers...I certainly cannot see the benefit to the local residents!

I used to use the park track 2-3 times a week and train in almost every corner of the park as a distance runner and hope to do so once again if I can return to the area. I desperately hope that a commercial venture that provides an event for 2 days a year does not ruin the park.

utter shame on you, noisey, dangerous, disprutive and damaging to a grade II listed park with Boris running over squirrels! still I suppose wandsworth council told everyone it was ok to shoot foxes at night!?! what kind of peopel are you to do this to a precious public space without locals consent too, criminal.

It is scandalous that the park has been made a no-go area for ordinary park users, and for such a long period of time, in June of all months.

As local residents my partner and I are outraged that our lovely park has been turned into a racetrack and in essence closed on some of the hottest days of the years. The idiot councillors we have in the Battersea Park ward should hang their heads in shame. They should be voted out and replaced by independents who care about this neighbourhood. This park is the joy of our part of London and we can't use it for the race cars.

Residents of central London value their parks enormously. Battersea Park is essential for the health and well being of local urbanites, both mental and physical. Wandsworth council tax payers happily support its upkeep. It was a big surprise to find my daily dog walk frustrated by closures.

I'm sad to see that the battersea I once knew isn't there anymore and I'm sad to think my kids not only live in an urban city but have no where they can safely play to. Battersea park should be for relaxing not having to be careful that a speeding car can knock one of my kids down

There must be more suitable places for this type of event.

Please exercise the break clause and return the park to the people who use it all year round.
