And as for the helicopter noise all weekend. It is just not good enough for council officers to say that the extent of helicopter activity was not envisaged in the planning stage. If they had done their homework they would know that Sr. Agag sells TV rights to the highest bigger; that is how he makes a lot of his money. But no, they were so keen to swallow the sweet pill of it being a green event, wioth some money attached, that they rushed ahead like lemmings, with scrappy consultation as far as local residents went, and allowed the creation of a massive carbon footprint. Cllr. Cook said that he had been on Saturday and Sunday; he'd have been better saying nothing, given that thousands were shut out of their own park. I hope people are transmuting these over one thousand comments in letters to their councillors, council leaders and MP.

Very unhappy that i have not been able to use the park during some of the hottest days of the year. I have no garden like many others and my park is so precious to me.

Motor racing is totally inappropriate for the park and as the racing at the weekend demontrated, the park is totally unsuitable for racing. This event must be moved to an appropriate venue and the park preserved.

Not in my park, why not our roads; many countries already hold this event and Formula 1 on main streets so why not the streets would have been more of a spectacle and local people would have still been able to use they park which is a treasured environment to this comunity in addition for a "Environmentally friendly race" I dread to think what the Carbon Footprint was to create it and dismantle it!!! Our park is a mess and probably will be for another week, they wouldn;t do this in Hyde Park but no choose a non Royal Park no one will care!!!

It is actually disgusting to see what they have done to this park! This event has ruined the local community.

My daughter went to Battersea Park yesterday and witnessed security people refusing to open gates and runners, walkers, picnicers etc., having to climb the gates in order to exit the park. She said people were exasperated with the treatment they as park-goers were handed out and are desperately upset that such an event should be staged in public space such as Battersea Park which has been changed for ever.

Please stop this event from happening ever again, or any similar corporate event. The people of Battersea and surrounding areas live here because we love having access to a beautiful green space, and holding these events dramatically inhibits our enjoyment of the park. I usually visit the park daily for a good walk or exercise session, and often picnic with friends. This past week at the peak of summer has been ruined by this event.

I really find it difficult to believe that a public park can be disrupted for weeks in the middle of summer for private profit. We should also be letting the event sponsor know what we think!

Awful! Can't believe that park has been closed for 5 days. As a local resident with a toddler who now can;t enjoy the park or playground on some of the hottest days of the year, I find it a disgrace. The zoo animals were also moved apparently. I imagine to cages which must have unsettled them as well.
