Battersea Park is for people and wildlife NOT racing cars; concrete is one produces approximately 1 tonne of CO2 for every tonne produced. Bemused to read that FIA Formula E promotes one of its three core values as being the Environment!

We've 'given it a go' and, on the evidence, car racing in Battersea Park is completely unacceptable.

Sounds just like a milk float... Lets stop it now. All that trucking around for the event set up just blew the carbon footprint through the roof. Definitely all about Bloated money making and ignoring park lovers. There's nothing environmentaly friendly about this event when sit down and think about it!

This is so wrong - we want our park to be a peaceful oasis where we can relax and enjoy the peace. Please stop this abuse.

What happened in Battersea Park during Formula E sets a new precedent for sustained abuse of a public greenspace. What happened in Battersea Park was wrong. It is unbelievable that Wandsworth Council were prepared to allow obscene chaos and disruption in the park for nearly three weeks in June for a two day event. Battersea Park is a gorgeous, green haven. We need it. And right now, the park needs us. Let's remember what happened in June and do our best to stop this ever happening again.

i will not want to use yhis cars if electric cars are going to be allowed to race round it. it's the antithesis of what a green space in london should be used for. please keep it ooen to the public and don't allow the cars

I live in a flat without a garden and pay a lot of money already to Wandsworth. Battersea Park is a retreat for me and to be kept out of my own park is completely thoughtless, greedy and selfish of the council. It was wholly unacceptable and I do not wish to be restricted from entering ever again.

This is a totally unsuitable even to be held in a public park, which should provide a 'green lung' in an urban

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot... The local Queenstown ward councillors are: Councillor Mayor Nicola Nardelli ([email protected]) Councillor Sally-Ann Ephson ([email protected]) Councillor Marie Hanson ([email protected]).

the most sad thing about this is a feeling that we were deliberately duped by the council. First of all they published a circuit layout with less impact to the park, then quickly changed it at the last minute to a circuit that bulldozed parts of the park's greenery. The park is not a park to these councillors, it's a way of generating revenue, which will see them promoted to a different point in their career. Jane Ellison and co, I am disgusted with you!

I support the conversion from petroleum to e-cars but this would have much more impact on the intended recipients ie car owners if the racing is staged on a road circuit rather in a precious open green space. It was refreshing to see so many school children enjoying the park today now that it is once again open to the intended uses, the general public. Lets keep it for all to use, rather than the few.
