Let's move car racing to a ready made circuit as there is at Crystal Palace and preserve the park for what it was intended - people enjoying the green spaces, be that walking, picnicing, dog walking or playing sport. The park IS NOT a race track. It is disruptive to those using the park and tears up the ground, not to mention the fact that the area does not have the transport links or infrastructure to cope with people descending on the local area. Take it to a race track and keep Battersea Park for the people. It is dangerous and poses a security risk.

I cycle through the park everyday and have seen and experienced the disruption first hand. This is not the right location for such an event.

It was Boris's idea in the first place. He then sent his deputy, Edward Lister (former Leader of Wandsworth Council) to introduce Agag to Cllr. Govindia. At first Cllr. Govindia was not happy with the idea, but he was persuaded into it by EL and Agag. Boris actually drove an E Racing Car round the Park like some latter-day Toad of Bullingdon Hall, and referred to the opposition as "a couple of local quibbles".

He then had himself filmed driving one of these cars round the park - a latter day Toad of Bullingdon Hall. He then described the opposition as "a couple of local quibbles".

Areas of tranquility in London are too precious to turn them into noisy chaos just for money. The Wandsworth Council should stop the intrusion at once.

Put the race on the street if you must have a race in the borough but leave the park for the residents whose taxes pay for the upkeep. Green and peaceful spaces in London are rare and it is an outrage that this event was allowed to take place in such a haven of tranquility.

Another example of minimum "consultation". Perfectly attractive landmark that has been sitting there comfortably for 115 years, and they want to rip it down and build a five bedroom house (which will no doubt go for around £3.5 million if not more. If you have trouble with the planning site, email your objections to [email protected] before 8th August, remembering to quote the Planning Number.

Firstly the cars are electric, so it is quite amusing when you call the fans of this sport petrol heads. Secondly the way you say the disruption "will be"appalling is also hilairious, bacause event has already happened and obviously had such a small impact on your life. That you did not realise that the event had taken place. Tip, READ the patitions that you sign, you may be signing something that you don't actually believe in.

I live in Battersea and my wife, child and dog visit the park every day. The Formula e Event was hugely disruptive for all local families who enjoy the park

I object to the e-racing more highly! It is no good for the park or the wildlife. The people who go to the park on a daily/weekly basis. Or for the people that work in the park!
