This is my neighborhood bar down the block from my old apartment. I saw it go from a boarded up game store for 15 or so years, to a beautiful welcoming watering hole, open to all. Delissa is conscious of every detail, serving tasty easy dinners on weekends as a one-stop destiny after work, having A-list musicians jamming away in the corner (ex. JoJo Mayer), and hosting fundraisers or birthday parties or other events FOR others. She started w a business loan, and paid it entirely off. I haven’t seen a business woman quite so dedicated and hard working. Now let’s see her overcome this!!!

I moved to Prospect Heights in 2000. In 2005 I moved around the corner from Bar Sepia, and immediately felt for the first time that I had found my "local." I've held several birthdays and a fundraiser there, and after moving abroad, made it the locus of my homecomings. Delissa has created a space that welcomes all, and reflects all the diversity of the neighborhood that originally attracted me. Losing Bar Sepia would mean losing a little bit of the soul of Prospect Heights.

I’ve lived above Bar Sepia for nearly four years now and it has always served as my
go to spot. So many memories have been made there - sad and happy and I cherish them all! Please help save Bar Sepia!

I worked there for 7 months and loved every second of it. Still love going back every couple weeks and hope it’ll still be there for years to come!

Please have a heart and give Bar Sepia a fair chance! People & places like Delissa and Bar Sepia are what made your building's value escalate. Give a little and give back.

I've loved coming here over the years! I cannot believe yet another beloved local fixture is being forced out of what made this neighborhood my home.

Bar Sepia is an important, vital part of Prospect Height. If there were a way to landmark a business, this one would be high on that list. Have shared many important moments there. Don't let this business go.

We use to live two doors down from Bar Sepia. My husband and I use to joke that Bar Sepia was our expanded living room. We loved how much the Bar supported everyone in the neighborhood!

I love Bar Sepia! Even though I don't live in the neighborhood, I gladly make the journey across town at LEAST once per week to "my spot." Its charming and lively. I know all the other regulars and the bartenders are awesome. I just love this place!

Bar Sepia is an iconic local place with a TON of heart. I celebrated many a milestone and important birthday there. It is an essential neighborhood gathering space- and woman-owned as well! Please keep Bar Sepia open and allow them to buy the building!

We supposed to protect small businesses from extinction it’s a shame that big corporations want to take over.
