My grandfather was Mayor before Louis Bay, He was also a mudician. His name was Paul A Kievit. He would be against ending 4th grade band. Music is an integral part of a healthy society.

I was in Marching and concert band in high school and I wish I learned to play in middle/ elementary. Those skills I learned helped me get a full ride at Felician University in Lodi. I have forever friends that are now my family from band. I learned so much about myself and how to push myself further to reach my goals. Removing band from kids would be a huge mistake.

I started my own musical and arts journey thanks to 4th grade band. To think that is being taken away from today's children is shocking and horrifying.
