This is a great hidden gem of a park. A little bit of everything, I would hate to see it changed.

Unnecessary, ill conceived and and astoundingly short sighted. Topping live trees to throw in a pond ???. How about just using the dead Elm (DED) and Ash (EAB) trees that are everywhere to accomplish the same thing??? Closing Angel hill, a long time favorite of people from all over the Metro area ??? Wow, what a bunch of dumbfounding decisions and plans. Just who's brain storm was this??? Benero or some other clueless, thoughtless bureaucrat or politician??? Really poor decision trying to fly under the radar with such a comprehensively boneheaded plan and implementation. Shame on you all for the attempts to sneak the majority of the important details through, you should and ill be stopped and raked over the coals for the whole plan and the way you have gone about it!!

Peoples use of the natural resources in an area built for blue collar labor and politicians demands respect, even by those that don't use them. There is little doubt an alternate solution can be designed. For The People, by The People.

Bancroft Park is a unique geological feature like no other in Michigan, and must be preserved as a natural area. Using the park for stormwater storage is unacceptable, as is paving the existing dirt trail, placing riprap in the perrenial stream, and cutting down part of the forest to relocate a golf course. The majority of residents who live near the park oppose this. The park is literally my backyard and I urge those in power to halt this project.

Save Bancroft park.
Why continue to take away the things that were suppost to be beautiful and free to everyone. And while your, Driving around in your City Cars writing hard working people tickets for stupid things that ur getting away with...It's a waste of time and city money to harrass people while your selling our city parks and they don't even keep them clean and mowed. I see so much city property being ignored and not taken care of. While people are getting tickets for sidwalks and not mowing right away and so on, stupid things that the city its self is doing...You can drive around even in the winter and harrass people...Wheres all our taxes going? Stop taking away our parks and stop harrassing hard working people, please!

Please leave the park alone. I grew up skating all day, sledding all night, and just biking around the park in the summer. My dad would take my kids there to play also when they were there to visit. I will always remember the days we would skate until dinner and then go back afterwards until we were tired! They angel hill is infamous! Everyone in the 3 surrounding counties know of The Angel! Keep as is!
