How are older people who drive or have disabilities going to get into or go to the shops, bang out of order you pay enough for cars theses day just more money making scams

I think this is absolute disgrace, because I myself have a disability that means that I can not walk very far as I'm waiting on a double lung transplant

Baillieston Main Street isn't brilliant but it's all we have for local shops. People will just go to supermarkets where parking is free instead of supporting local businesses, it's a disgrace that people should pay for parking in the first place, this petition should not even be necessary!!

As someone who was born & bred in Baillieston.It is an essential part that you are able to park on the main st,as it is easy access to shops,especially for delivery drivers.

My sister in Buchanan and struggles to get parked.This will make it worse for her as people will start parking in other streets.

I regularly use Ballieston Main Street to shop locally and time restrictions in parking and costs to park would make this difficult. In recent years The Quadrant car park in Coatbridge which supports the Main Street was changed to a charged car park but it lay empty and was swiftly returned to free parking as the impact on the local shops was too great.

I think if people weren't allowed to park on Baillieston Main Street for free it would effect the businesses as people would go somewhere else as they may not have change for parking.

There are many businesses in Baileston Main Street that are an integral part of the community. It is well known that sensible parking arrangements can benefit the driver and local businesses. It is also well known that when businesses are forced to close the community, especially the elderly who depend on their local services, can leave an area looking abandoned and can often can take many years to get the community services and more importantly the life and spirit back into the community. So please adopt a 'common sense ' approach when reviewing parking arrangements in Bailleston Main Street. Think of the Businesses, many having served in the area for decades, and The Local Community. YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE.

Save the Main Street. Introduce traffic safety measures by all means but please no obstacles to fluid traffic flow and punitive (revenue raising) restrictions on the people of Baillieston and district. 41 years have passed since Baillieston was consumed (without being asked) by Glasgow it is not a cash cow to be milked.

I'm the owner of showers of flowers and ive been on the Main Street for 19 yrs and I don't want to go under due to my customers being scared to park on the main St.
