My personal opinion is that there should be no restrictions/meters put in place at all. Travel 2 miles down the road to Uddingston Main Street and it has no meters. Business there is thriving.

The restrictions are excessive & unfair. I do believe certain areas in Baillieston needed restrictions due to the irresponsible parking at corners! This is not in the best interest of the small businesses on Main Street.

This would be detrimental to a sadly already diminishing main st. We need to focus on attracting more footfall to local shops in order to secure the survival of Baillieston main st and allow it to grow. I feel that this would have the opposite effect and would harm local businesses and residents, especially those without cars, greatly.

As a Baillieston resident one of the things I like about the area is the genuine sense of community which in many ways makes it feel like a village. Local businesses play s vital part in creating this atmosphere and many of them have been part of the fabric of Baillieston life for far longer than I have lived here and I believe it is important that they are given a fair chance to play their part in creating a sustainable economy for the area for future generations of Bailliestonions
