I am a graduate of Arts High School. We must not let our school close it's doors because of Newark political rhetoric. This school helped mold me to the man that I am today. Stop taking away the history of NPS! The children of Newark need Arts High School!

Arts High School has changed the lives of so many young talented artists in the city of Newark and I am one of them. Too many educators, principals, and staff persons invested in this school to educate and empower young people to achieve academically and continue to perfect their artistic gifts. Arts High School is a rich and essential piece of Newark history and should not be removed on the strength of an up and coming charter school for the arts.

This is the high school I graduated from. The things I learned here and the experience that was so unique because it is an art school. Stop talking away from our children, we should be nurturing their talents and minds, not breaking down the very fabric that has proven to work for years. This is absolutely shameful!

My daughter was given the opportunity to express her talent as dancer and still keep As in her Statistics and SAT math. She loves her school and I couldn't see her going anywhere else where the teachers give their students an opportunity to be the best in everything they were blessed with.
