I graduated from Arts in 1988. As the oldest high school in the United States with an arts centered curriculum the institution has played a central role in the education of some of America's finest artists. It would unconciounable for this esteemed institution to sease to exist.

I will stand firm with my colleagues who have attended this well established institution. Arts High has birth so many talented and famous people it would be disgraceful to see the school dissipate.

Arts High School got me through my rough times in Newark. Its not just a school but a family. People that go and stay in Arts deserve to be there based on their talents, determination, and their understanding of the importance of arts in our schools. Don't take that from us.

You never destroy or shutdown an original..... save this school! It's the first of its kind and the maker of world renowned artist to close it would to close to the doors to the portal to greatest in the field of the artist..... This cannot be!!!

I am not an alumni of Arts High School, however, it is a major part of the community and has been very successful in making many of my peers who they are today. From what I can recall, they have always had an open door policy for previous students to share their passion and gifts with current students and faculty. Losing this school will be unfortunate for so many, please save Arts High School!

I am from the 1987 graduating class from Arts High School. It would pain me terribly to have the school eradicated because of POLITICS! The people making these decisions are obviously NOT of our community and of little to no talent. They would never understand the how much this school is a pivotal part of young talented peoples lives. Please reconsider closing the school.
