Arts High school was where I spent some of the best years of my life, and learned how to be disciplined, and what it meant to maintain a certain level of learning! A shame someone wants to take away one of the few good schools we have left in Newark.

Arts High School is a school for the gifted and talented. Anyone who auditions must be talented for their specific programs, not just throwing non- talented students together. Please save AHS for the gifted and talented students only not any student to almagamate schools.

We can not let this happen. Arts High school is historic and should be classified as a national landmark. It was the first school of its kind graduating such big names as Sarah Vaughn, Connie Frances, Melba Moore, Tisha Campbell and a list of new young talent.
