I'm a proud alumni from the class of '89. I thank Arts High for my experiences during my formative years; it was here that I found my voice. Save our School from being eradicated to only be replaced by an for "profit" institution where the pockets of politicians will be lined and the "Arts" will be ignored.

I'm an Arts High Alumni and I am proud to have had the opportunity of attending this school. Its structure is full of so much history from its floors, to its walls, to its ceilings, to its outside structure, the building speaks for itself. Being the first of its kind, many, many gifted and talented students have passed through its doors. It's a legend to Newark, NJ and many alumni would love to come back to visit year after and remember where they started from before entering into their dreams. Arts High was the first step in pursuit of many dreams.

I pray we do not lose this school to another charter. It is a place DEVOTED to the missing key in our schools...The Arts! I didn't go here, but playing the violin and cello truly added to my life, creativity and outlook.

Please avoid this. How dare they. I am a product of the Class of 1970. Many talented people came out of Arts High School.
This school served students as well as the community and taking away something that benefited us is just wrong. I had the best instructors and the best of friends. My youngest daughter was a graduate of Arts High school. She incorporate Music Therapy in her work with Adults as well as children. So again this can not happen I will be on the picket line for this.

Down with Cami and the oppressive, cooperate monied charter school system which hires people to teach who don't even have a teaching degree. Up with teacher's unions, Arts amazingly dedicated and qualified staff and our historical high school.

Class of 86. Arts High School is a staple of Newark NJ. In my opinion it should be considered a landmark. Considering the environment this school has turned out local and Hollywood stars. Arts has afforded opportunity to young people who otherwise would not have the chance to pursue dreams if
