This is a travesty, and a topic that should not be discussed. ARTS HIGHSCHOOL is a NATIONAL TREASURE AND LANDMARK. To think to destroy a LEGACY OF HISTORY IN NEWARK is such a diservice to the MINORITY .community.

Arts High is the best school in Newark. Great talent has graduated from Arts High. Why would you close a school that has an excellent reputation. An Arts Charter School is no replacement.

Arts High, was a second home for me. When I couldn't sort my problems out at home I would go to the loving staff of the school to get the guidance that I needed. Who I am today is a direct of me attending Arts High. Please do not cut the school from the community, I'm sure there are other children who are on the breaking point such as I was and need the direction as I once did from the staff of this loving school. Class of 1993

I'M A GRADUATE FROM THE CLASS OF '91. THIS SCHOOL WAS THE FIRST OF IT'S KIND IN THE NATION, THERE'S NO WAY IT SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE SHUT DOWN.

It is imperative that we collectively support some educational institution whose sole purpose is to promote the arts in young people. What kind of a country closes these kinds of schools/ What kind of a district that" believes in the education of the WHOLE person" cuts/reduces music in the budget? Who benefits? Save Arts High.

As an alumni of Arts High School; graduated 2001, I really do not think this school should be closed. There's a lot of talented young kids out there tht needs a resourceful school as this one. Where are all the kids goin to go to school who posses the talents that Arts High caters to. Please do not close this school for it wil b a waste!

As an alumni, I believe that Arts High School is an historical landmark in Newark and a great school for high schoolers. This school works on a students craft and prepares them for pursing it after graduation or while they are attending the school.
