Having just recently purchased new black school skirts for my daughter I feel that it is unfair to enforce such a change at such short notice. Black is also smarter in appearance than grey, it works better with the navy jumper and grey polo shirt. Black is easier to purchase than grey in an older age range especially in a more age appropriate style. If the change in colour is due to standard uniform issues then surely this should be addressed as a change in colour is not going to affect the skirt length or the trouser style if anything!!

A grey polo-shirt and grey trousers will clash. I don't know what they were thinking when they came to this decision. There's a reason not much people wear grey trousers at school. It's obvious that they care more about what we're wearing than our education.

The governors seriously need to have thought this through. Firstly grey is not a smart colour, I had this discussion with my family about the polo shirts in September. Also the governors usually say that they will take input and ideas and thoughts from students... well hello? Where were the questions about this stupid idea, clearly this is not fair! Sooooooooo angry! BRING BLACK BACK!!! Not impressed

It's totally unacceptable that all children and parents were not given the option to voice their opinions on the new uniform changes which seemingly have been authorised behind closed doors.
In todays democratic society, everyone is entitled to voice their own opinion. Therefore, we should have a democratic vote which includes all parents and children on the new changes to the uniform.

Just purchased new trousers for my daughter i do not wish to purchase more due to a colour change. Teachers should enforce uniform rules and then there would be no need for the change.

This is a ridiculous idea to change the colour of skirt and trousers. I was under the impression that the change was to smarten up the uniform not make it look worse . Wouldn't a shirt and tie be a better option ?which is what most of the pupils would of liked. If a school chooses to change the uniform then plenty of notice has to be given not 6 weeks before the end of term! Time should be spent on more important issues judging by the adequate Estyn report!

It's ridiculous to change uniform this late in the day. Most parents have already purchased their uniforms. How embarrassing for the girls if they have lighter trousers? Being a high school kid is tough enough!!

Uniform already bought two pairs of trousers & one skirt £40 spent, are you going to refund the money I've spent so I can go & get grey which will not go with grey polo shirts, plus there is 4 different greys (which one do you want as you've not even stated) & they do not do young ladies sizes in grey school trousers. Pupils should have been spoken too as it was them that changed to the uniform they are wearing today.

Having just bought new trousers for both of my daughters and also the 3rd one who starts in September, I think there needs to be a clear reason for the change, and a transition period. I can't afford to replace brand new uniform, and grey is much harder to find in the shops as most retailers school uniform sections are only up to age 12-13

It is too expensive to keep changing the uniform, miss spence needs to realise this, not everyone can be a rubbish head teacher and earn money like she does
