Black looks so much smarter than grey. The only grey trousers for a woman that ive seen are suitable if your over 70 years of age plus you can't buy grey denier tights only the grey woolly ones which the girls wore in junior school! To say that any pupil wearing black on the first day black will be sent home is just ridiculous. The school are being strict on colour yet they are still letting the kids wear trainers/converse!

Absolute joke. Focus on the real problems your school has got! Never heard something so ridiculous in all my life. Argoed is fast going downhill. I will not be sending my son in grey trousers

Argoed should stick to the normal uniform as it would look like we are in pyjamas on the way to school

Think black is smarter than grey. Already have the uniform. Would have to buy more.

Changing the packaging doesn't change the content. I personally am disgusted with the school as a whole, that is the ethics and standards of the staff. Improve those and the school will follow suit!!

I personally think this is a stupid idea to change the colour, keep the trousers black it's a smarter look!

I had a dream that one day the Argoed pupils will forever be wearing black pants

Crazy stupid decision which costs a significant amount of money for parents, black trousers are more resilient in terms of showing marks and may need washing less

I'm not wearing grey pants I will look so stupid and you can't find any grey tight skirts or the only pants you can get is really baggy and seine I am a girl I don't go for baggy if it ends up being grey I will be walking into school with either grey leggings on or grey Joni jeans or black pants on

As a parent I am not happy at the short notice we are being given to change the uniform, not the fact that we have not been consulted. It is an expense we as a family could do without after recently purchasing new school skirts. If it's about maintaining a standard then police the issues better as regardless of colour you will still come across the same issues! However school is about learning not worrying about if they are wearing the wrong style of trousers, nail varnish or hair colour! These do not affect their learning. Let's consider getting priorities straight and consider their education first!!
