Hi Survi,
Could you let me know please whether the information about closing the footpath came from Black Rock (the owners of the shopping centre) themselves? We need to look into this. I agree, the footpath is very useful. Thanks. Sveta

I have been living in this area since 1986, and am well aware if the levels if disturbance and nuisance caused by students living here. Building high rise blocks if student flats will only increase the already existing problems. Issues if noise levels, littering, security, usage of other private property amenities, drunk and disorderly behaviour etc are only a few examples. The ratio of student density has already forced out many original elderly residents and also young families. Building high rise blocks of student flats, they are also considering closing down the footpath between alma vale road and Clifton down shopping centre, which would mean everyone would have to go around alma road. I find this highly unacceptable as the footpath is public property and is extensively used by everyone living in the area. I STRONGLY OBJECT to the developers plans.

WE OBJECT TO THE HIGH RISE DESIGN AND THE GREEDY, OVER DENSE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SITE IN AN EDWARDIAN/VICTORIAN STREET; NO PARKING, THE NOISE AND OVER STUDENTIFICATION OF THE AREA AS A WHOLE.

There is not sufficient car parking for this proposal. The issues with car parking in our area are already caused by cars being left for significant periods of time over term time. We welcome students in the area, they support local shops and bars but this is too much

The increase in student numbers and cars will destabilise the community.

No more student housing thanks! The development at Stoke Bishop already has excess capacity and there is no requirement for more in this area.

I live only a few doors up from the proposed development. I object as there seems to be no need to build further student accommodation in the area. 2 new (large) student builds are being completed currently on Whiteladies Rd, there is simply no need for further student accommodation in this area. There are many students here already and adding this many new units turns the area from a community into a student campus. I work at the University and I don't know of any student housing shortage, especially in BS8. There is simply no need to build this.
Parking will be even worse !!!
Clearly inappropriate for the area.
No Students! Houses ok. or self storage!
