This proposed student accommodation is totally unsutable for this area and this road. I strongly object.

I object to this scheme. There is an already vast amount of student accommodation in this area. A development this size will have a negotiable impact on the community with more refuse and litter. Noise pollution, saturation of parking in an area already swiped by commuters and students. This area should be developed as low cost residential rather than high profit rental.

Firstly where would they all keep their cars and secondly having students as neighbours from my experience can cause a massive disruption at night time, last year the police had to remove over 100 students from one property at 2.30 am, this caused disruption to most of our street

To many flats for the area and is not in keeping with Alma Vale.

This area is already a high density housing area, give the small site and it proximity to other established housing stock it is appropriate and would provide very poor access for both the surrounding current residents and anyone in the new property proposed.

I I would object to any planning application, the scale of the suggested development is not in keeping with the quiet residential area of Alma Vale.

There is already a high density of student accommodation in this area, and more has recently been approved. The nature of local shops and services will continue to change to reflect the growing student population, at the expense of the needs of the families who do, after all, pay the major part of the Council Tax. And what little remains of free space in the district ought surely to be preserved: it is, perhaps, revealing that a Council bent on raising revenue by taxing residents for parking their own cars on their own streets, on the pretext of alleviating the shortage of such space, should, nonetheless, be prepared to authorise the destruction of one of the few car parks in the area.

The scale is ridiculous for such a small spot, and especially at the tail-end of a cul-de-sac. This will create high levels of foot traffic past small houses to the west, and along the narrow patthway and steps round to the back of Sainsburys. And, if even five or six of those 93 students should dare to own a car.... heaven knows where they might park it! Of course, the developer will expect this, and will drop back to the original total of 60-70 units, and assume all is well. Even such a lower number would still be too many for such a constricted site, with limited access routes.

I have no objection to the car park area being developed, but 93 units seems to be a case of maximizing profit at the cost of the neighourhood. The height of the proposed building will make the entrance to the delivery area of the shopping centre and to Alma Court very closed in. During the winter when there is ice and snow Alma Vale Road has never been salted or gritted in the last 20 years. I am worried that the road and the entrance to Alma Court may become impassable, which it has been close to before now without the additional time it would take to defrost if it is overcast. Parts of the driveway in Alma Court take an additional week to clear of ice due to being overcast by building shadow.

A significant increase in the number of students living in this area, which already accommodates a large student population, will almost inevitably lead to a deterioration in relations. We have worked hard to establish the existing excellent relations.

There is a far greater need for affordable housing. Student accommodation already underway in Whiteladies Rd. Will there be any guarantee of perpetuity of an on- site, 24 hour warden. These promises usually lapse after the first year.

Inappropriate development for the area, in terms of use and density.

As a member of the congregation at All Saints Church I have noticed an increasing untidiness and littering in Alma Vale where an increasing number of houses and now Multiple Ocupancy and occupied by students - particlularly at the end of term and in the summer - a health hazard. Parking is always difficult for our elderly members of the congregation or for those who drive them to services. It is accomodation for young families which is of most urgent need in the city and a greater diversity of demographic in this area of Clifton.

I object to the scale of the proposed development and the lack of on site parking.

Everything in moderation - this development is not moderation just a developers wet dream!

bristol is becomming flooded with student accommodation, a very nearby area of shops and floors 'over the shop' (the area which used to be Maskreys in Whiteladies Road) is already being built.

The size and nature of the development is totally wrong for the area. The increase in traffic and noise would be totally unacceptable. There is already a high number of students in the area, a development of this nature will make the student population heavily out way non-students.

This proposed development is completely disproportionate for this site. It will cause traffic, noise and disruption
