Health, fitness and community should be top priority. I encourage Providence to look for better ways to manage the budget instead of taking these away from the people who rely on this facility to bring these to them.

Please don’t close this gym. It’s been the perfect place to really fuel my love for working out again. It was a big reason why I moved over to Hillsboro.

I’ve been to this gym since day 1. It’s such an integral part of my daily routine. I really hope we can keep this part of the community going!

Please reconsider. This is a critical source of community and physical & mental wellness for the Reed’s Crossing neighborhood.

The decision to cut multiple programs does not align with Providence's mission to serve the poor and vulnerable. Active Wellness center is an affordable space for the community to focus on healthy lifestyles and prevention - which bottom line saves Providence money. Providence is blaiming lay offs and closures on Medicare and Medicaid cuts, while thier executives mismanage budgets, promote poorly planned projects that negatively impact patient care, underpay thier remaining staff continue to make MILLIONS. Do better Providnece! Know me, care for me, ease my way - when did we forget this?

Active Wellness Center is a much loved and much appreciated community service. Providence should promote health and wellness, not squash it.

The decision to close Active Wellness abruptly tells us Providence no longer practices the core values , their original foundation, they have become nothing more than wall decoration. The lack of Integrity and Compassion shown to a community built with Providence services at the helm is disheartening . There is no dignity in abruptly affecting a community , many of which moved here to be part of a healthier living community. It gives one pause to ponder where else Excellence and Justice no longer serve the long standing mission of the organization. One I believed in and worked tirelessly for nearly 40 years. It’s a shame Providence has fallen so far from the community pillar it was once seen to be. I wonder how many others will vote with their feet.

This is ridiculous. The gym just opened and has a big member base. Families in the area have come to depend on this location and the area/city is growing every day. Stop the nonsense and keep the gym, kids club and pool open.
