Seeing the photos of Gena's garden in the comments proves that this isn't just about a structure but about the heart of our community. I am currently gathering the engineer reports to present to the city council because they cannot ignore the safety verification we already have in hand.

Seeing this kind of backing for Gena makes me realize that we are truly protecting the soul of our neighborhood. This momentum proves that people value the creativity in our backyards more than the city officials seem to understand.

Total overreach by the city. If it was safe enough for 30 years it should stay.

This is so sad. Why ruin something so creative? Santa Cruz is supposed to be weird and artistic. Keep it up Gena!
I drove by this and it is actually really cool. Shame on the city for trying to tear down local art.
