At a time we are trying to improve people's health and wellbeing especially children and promote a healthier lifestyle surely this is a backward step. We already have a massive house building programme currently underway across Cardiff so is this really a necessity or just a opportunity for a developer to make some money.

I am not a member but spent many hours there in the 80s and 90s watching my two sons play and attending social events. My wife is still a member and was a stalwart of the ladies teams for 30 years. it would be such a shame if the facility had to close. we must not let this happen..

I was a member as a child and was club champion a few times in my teens and early twenties. I went on to play professional football for 20 years partly due to the great times i had playing tennis and football for, as it was known then, Park lawn tennis club. I am the uncle of Gareth Bale and I am sure he would also support this petition.

Played Tennis against Whitchurch for years and would be a travesty to see this club which is thriving end so abruptly. I don't think people realise the benefits this club has provided and still does to the local community.
