Would be very sad for tennis to lose such a thriving club. Fingers crossed for the right thing to happen here.

Please don't close down this tennis centre it is a marvellous resource particularly for younger people

I support continuation of the tennis and oppose any change to the use of land. We don’t need any more overcrowding of houses on this area and sports facilities are few and far between

A superb and very friendly club which is widely used in the community. Just last night there were many young people being coached - in the hope of being another Andy Murray or Heather Watson or just a person who enjoys tennis. It's so important to keep this excellent facility.

As a previous member for 31 years it would be terrible if the club that I helped build was lost to development. Signed Colin Hicks

I have moved from the area now but I was previously a member of the club. It is a fabulous club and allowed me to integrate into the local community. It would be such a shame if the club closed.

I played tennis at WTC through my childhood and the club has been a huge part of my families life for a long time. It would be such a shame to see the impact losing the WTC would have on its community! Keep it open!

Whitchurch tennis club is an integral Part of Whitchurch village life providing much needed recreational activities for Whitchurch community as well as a place for younger generations to come together to learn life long physical skills

Once valuable community assets such as these are gone they never get replaced in an affordable form.

In a time of rising obesity, social isolation it is important that community clubs are protected

This community facility is absolutely needed, at a time when mental health and social isolation is increasing, these facilities need to be kept open. The physical and psychological benefits of such a club is immeasurable. It is a club used by many different age groups and situated in a very accessible area. How cynical it would be to sell it for planning, once these community facilities are gone, they are gone forever.
