My experience with Kean Dance Theater was the most rewarding time of my college years. (1981 - 1983) Begun by William Chaison and continued by Luis Martinez provided a creative outlet for myself and many others during its 30 years for students . Many of my most treasured friendships I still have to this day, began with KDT. PLEASE KEEP THIS PROGRAM ALIVE!

KDT is something a lot of students look forward to, not to mention it also employs students for the performances. It's not just cutting funding, it's cutting school spirit.

The Arts are an integral part of public education. Kean University's College of Education is an example that our public schools look to for standards of best practice. Dance is a form of communication as well as art and fitness/well being. What are the priorities that would take away this funding?

I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a KUDE dancer. It has been one of the best experiences of my college career. I cannot imagine attending Kean without having participated in KUDE. KUDE was the foundation of launching my performance career of which would've been nearly impossible without the motivation and support that KUDE offered.

"Dance, as an art form, is transcendental. It means you don't have to be part of a culture or speak a foreign language to understand its expression. It talks to the human being that we all are." Why take away our dance ensemble when it transcends culture and race and brings together such a diverse community of wonderful people?

please save KDT/KUDE! It was the best part of my college experience.... It was like a dance sorority. It's built relationships in my life that have still lasted 10 years later. It's an amazing community!

Being a member of KDT while student at Kean 1979-1983 made my years there memorable and treasured! My fellow KDT members are the only people I still keep in touch with from College! Please go not end this wonderful creative outlet
