Something positive has been done with the building, why does the housing authority want to claim it now... why not before he bought and beautified the building? Let Mr. Allen keep his business, don’t hold him back.

I would like the resturant to stay we don’t have many choices of eatery to go to in Gary where to actually sit down and enjoy a decent meal not to mention that is good.

Why is this even an issue? Aside from the resplendent, custom pieces, Nations has potential to assist in restoring the pulse of the city. It's a restaurant that's offering social gatherings and FAMILIES ARE WELCOME.
Shame on Gary Housing Authority for failing to recognize the potential this business stands to benefit the city in it's entirety.

Entrepreneurship is a right and a privilege!!! One should be able to operate without interference from a government agency that wants to claim their land, especially if that entity refuses to sell!!!

Eminent domain statute requires the need and purpose for the seizure, yet once again a non-existent plan and vague outline negates actual community involved economic businesses.
One need only search city owned properties to see the pattern when they suddenly become available.
