Seattle does NOT need more bike lanes, which serve only a small fraction of the population compared to the percentage of car drivers that roads need to serve!!

I commute from Wedgwood to the University by bike. The proposed bike line on 35th would do nothing to make my commute easier or safer.

I am a daily bike commuter and feel that eliminating parking along 35th is a bad plan for this major arterial. There are alternate routes already for bike riders and this would be too great an impact on the business community along 35th.

Putting bike lanes on 35th while taking up precious parking spaces - especially when dedicated bike lanes exist a few blocks away and on the burke gilman trail is idiotic.

I not only drive regularly on 35th and utilize the businesses and post office which would be hurt, but I also ride a bicycle regularly. 38th/39th works great.

Businesses on 35th Ave NE depend upon access. There are plenty of bicycle roads and streets available already. 39th Ave NE is just 4 blocks east and provides the same north south corridor for cyclists. The city should not be clogging all available arterials with bike lanes, especially those with as many businesses as 35th Ave NE.

Stop the bike lanes on 35th! This should be put to vote among the neighboring residential communities! We will challenge you in court! If the city has excess money, improve public transportation and provide more homes for the homeless!

As a bus rider, driver, walker and bike rider I support this petition. Please do not create traffic jams on 35th as DOT has been done in many Seattle neighborhoods. We are a neighborhood of workers who need to get the kids to school and get off to work; or seniors who are retired and mostly don't ride our bikes. This is a business neighborhood, not a European tourist destination.

As a bike rider I believe it is much safer to put bike lanes on one of the side streets rather than on the arterial. Keep the arterials for cars and keep them off the side streets so they are safer for cyclists. Also, you seem to forget that many of the cyclists riding north/south would prefer to ride on the Burke Gilman trail.

I am a bike commuter and I feel that this dedicated bike lane on 35th is unnecessary since there is a viable alternative (bike "greenway" along 39th) and it's a costly waste of money. I commute by bike everyday and there just is not the need for this when there are already convenient, safe alternatives.
