SAVE 35th AVE NE

This plan will be a disaster! There are already bike lanes.

I'm a serious user of the NE Branch Library. There are no bus connections from my home, and the available street and parking lot parking has been vastly reduced thanks to massive increasingly dense development in the neighborhood. Among other impacts, it appears to be the City's policy to restrict access to library patrons. Sheesh..

No to 35th as a two lane street. Ridiculous traffic! Unsafe and those on bicycles use 40th

No need of bike lane. There’s one on 39th

This would make commuting a nightmare!!! It would also be horrible for the surrounding neighborhoods with children.

This will really cause havoc on 35th and the businesses will suffer.

This initiative is SO horribly thought through, ignores the needs of the community, reflects on the piss-poor policies of city council and how out of touch they are with a broader base. They need to go!

I just tried to return a library book. What a mess! Why do we have to do this?

Please understand the needs of this Neighborhood and the actual current residents. I have lived in this area for many years, supporting the the small businesses along this route. Bike lanes are inequitable and fragmenting our Community.

Stop taking parking from small businesses

My daughter was seriously injured by a cyclist while crossing a bike lane between the floating bus stop and sidewalk on Roosevelt north of 65th. Please don’t bring this danger to 35th NE.

I bike and live in the neighborhood. My husband commutes by bike. We both agree that bikes on the bike friendly side streets are better than on 35th. I'm disappointed that the city is so stubborn and is proceeding in something which is NOT in the best interest of the neighborhood and bikers.

A terrible use of tax dollars. There is currently not a problem with too many cyclists on 35th ( I drive that road daily— and I am a cyclist ). Is a need for parking for access to the library and other businesses on 35th ! Please listen to the citizens you work for !!

I love bikes and applaud people who use bikes over cars. But this proposal is a bad idea. Many of us still need and use cars, like it or not. And businesses rely on access, as do emergency vehicles and buses. Compromise is really important in this case.

I live on 35th Ave. I'm a cyclist myself and I don't even want these bike lanes. 35th Ave roads are large enough to share between bikes and cars and like others have mentioned, there are already alternate routes for bike riders. Keep the parking on 35th Ave.

I don't want a bicycle path which will impact businesses on 35th. The number of riders is too low to justify all the expense.

This is another waste of public money by politicians and bureaucrats trying to curry favor with Cascade Bike Club and similar outfits.

Thanks for your work. This NE 35th project is about the biggest waste of money I have seen!

Cycling upgrades should be done more slowly, following evidence that they really work. This is not the case so far. Changes that adversely affect communities are being pushed through by a highly aggressive, non-local, bike lobby.
