Enough with the bike lanes on major arterial!!! Already dangerous driving on 35th with all the businesses and it is so heavily traveled. It will make it precarious for children to cross to get to the library as bicycles in our neighborhood do not follow the rules of the road. And no one is enforcing it.

I️ live on 36th Ave and bikes use my street everyday and it’s fine. They choose it because it’s less congested. The proposal doesn’t solve any problems that I can see but adds new ones.

To put it succinctly, bike lanes on 35th NE is an incredibly stupid idea. The street is already too narrow for cars and parking ....throw in Metro buses, and you create a dangerous thoroughfare for everyone, including pedestrians. There is already a designated bike lane on 39th Ave NE. Stop this madness!

I have lived right off of 35th for 16 years. We rarely see bikes on 35th as it is on top of a hill. The side streets are safer for them and traffic is already getting worse all the time. It will hurt Neighborhood businesses as well as causing more gridlock. I feel this has been pushed through without the neighborhood residents having a proper say.

Keep bike lanes on lesser used streets, not on arterials such as 35th Ave NE. Bike lanes take away parking. Less or no parking hurts business. Less business hurts the community. When the community hurts, people go elsewhere to do business, besides there are rarely any cyclists in the bike lanes. I have never seen a biker on 75th NE. What genius made that decision at taxpayer's expense? I always see the bikers on side streets not on the bike lanes that are made on arterials for them.

This is an incredibly idiotic move on SDOTS part. I patronize businesses for which there is no other parking available. Side street parking is non-existent especially since building the monstrosity called Bryant Heights. Stop destroying our neighborhood.!

This is a ridiculous idea to add bike lanes on 35th, especially since there is a designated greenway for bikes on 39th ave (that is 4 blocks away).

I am very concerned about access to the library. Imagine unloading an infant or toddler across the street into traffic or a bike lane, then crossing and repeating the whole thing when leaving. Today we safely unload them on the sidewalk on the west side of the street. Secondly, I am appalled at the bike lane on Roosevelt Way NE south of NE 45th St. My health care provider is in the 4200 block. When I needed to make many trips this spring, I found it incredibly dangerous to drive to my clinic and try to turn into the parking garage across the bike lane. Going slow, signaling, checking/double checking, it is still too easy for a bike to zoom down the bike lane on the right. I gave up and started parking in the neighborhood and walking. Even walking is dangerous with the bus island and stripes everywhere. A prudent pedestrian needs to stop more than once while crossing Roosevelt to be sure there are no bikes. My health care providers report many accidents in that stretch of road ever since it was re-striped. I don't wish to see the same conditions repeated on 35th Ave NE
