We need to rethink this plan.

As a cyclist, I use alternative routes. Even with designated bike line on 35th, I wouldn't use it. There are simply too many cars/trucks/buses on it.

The entire idea is absurd and an unnecessary expense. It will also create a greater safety issue as people begin driving more through the residential streets. I’m a cyclist and can’t imagine why I would ever use a bike lane on 35th when there are numerous residential street options, including a specific route on 39th.

This street parking used by churches, synagogues, a library, businesses and 10'000's of comuters every day. A stopped bus is goiong to cause huge traffic jams and frustrated drivers. There is already a designated bike street on 39th. This is not going to make the street safer,

Reducing 35th to two lanes will not make them safer. Folks make necessary left turns that impede traffic flow.

I am concerned the city has not investigated the consequences of people detouring to our sidestreets, most of which do not have sidewalks. I fear this will not make things safer and not enough research was done.
