Seriously, WORST idea ever. I see the LONG trail of motorists on 75th Ave NE around 8:45 AM trying to get across the city and they can't because 75th Ave NE has been reduced to one lane each way. It's VERY frustrating!

Bike routes are appropriate for side streets not for main streets. I lived and worked in Cambridge, England for a few months, where there are many bicyclists. I always used side streets to get from Point A to Point B. That is much safer and much more pleasant.

Do NOT build a bike lane on 35th! I am a bike rider and I would never use it - I would much rather go down. 36th or 34th for a north - south ride.

Cars aren't going anywhere and vastly outnumber the needs of cyclists. The lane reductions already implimented on 15th Ave in N. Seattle below 125th has made driving in the area between 4pm-6:30pm a nightmare. Enough already!

Given the greenway on 39th, it makes absolutely no sense to have bike lines only six blocks away! Please do NOT carry out the plan to have bike lanes on 35th Ave NE.

This plan seems to be ill-conceived by SDOT planners who did not thoroughly study the neighborhood's present use of 35th or consider the already established safe bicycle pathways.

I oppose the bike lanes on 35th Avenue NE. There are safer alternate routes less than 5 blocks to the east. 35th Ave. is a very BUSY street, and that adds another
danger factor to the bike lanes. The planners should have spent considerable time observing the street's use at all hours before coming up with the bike lanes on this street.

We are writing to strongly oppose department of transportation plans to change 35th Avenue NE. DOT's plan is to take away parking on one side of the street and make 35th NE, a busy and important arteriole, congested and difficult for the thousands of people who use it and the businesses located on it. As you know, the DOT's plan is to place two bicycle lanes on this busy thoroughfare. This area already has streets established for biking adjacent to 35th NE. Additional biking lanes on 35th NE will inconvenience many residents and businesses for the sake of the relatively few bicycle riders who already have nearby streets for their usage.
PLEASE consider stopping DOT's planned changes to 35th Avenue NE.
