Don't penalize the people who use this area, need to park and actually PAY to use the roads!

I travel on 35th regularly. My PO Box and dentist are on 35th. This change will make access to those establishment much less safe. The post office is constantly busy with trucks and cars. Businesses up and down the east side of the street, like Safeway, have a high volume of traffic which will be required to negotiate across a bike lane.
The current bicycle route on 39th is much safer and more realistic .

No Bike Lanes! Keep parking, bus stops, and add crosswalks. This isn't downtown.

The City isn't listening to we, the citizens and Taxpayers. You've been ramming this terrible bike plan down our throat for years, ignoring the majority voice. Enough!

I am 27 years old. I commute by bike. Bike lanes on arterials in neighborhoods only make the area more dangerous. Put in crosswalks, add in more bike parking and leave the arterials ALONE

My 80 year old grandmother who has had MS for years cannot ride a bike or even take the bus, especially in winter. Bike lanes are only for the few. Keep 35th for ALL

I commute to Starbucks HQ on my bike and sometimes with the bus. The bikes lanes, for the most part, are an absolute safety risk. The SDOT concept of stimulating driver anxiety to slow them by adding bike lanes, narrowing street ends, adding in planters etc.. only makes it more likely they will hit a pedestrian or a cyclist. I cycle on 35th and the ONLY thing that you should add are more crosswalks and more lighted crosswalks. Those, will slow traffic down. Stop the madness.

Families need clear, safe arterials to commute on and transport their children safely. This plan does the opposite. It isn't safe, its not effective and to what benefit? None is the answer. Do not change 35th.

These streets are already stressed with the amount of car traffic, which is expected to increase with the new apartments and the new development at 65th-68th. My household is sympathetic to the needs of cyclists as my husband often rides to work, but the proposed changes to 35th are not in the best interests of cyclists, pedestrians, neighborhood residents, or automobile drivers.

We shouldn't change our MAIN street so drastically in favor of bicyclists when they have 3 or more SAFE options open to them. I would much rather the City of Seattle spend money on making improvements for the people who walk. There is an infinite amount more pedestrians in Wedgwood than bicyclists that travel along 35th. I would like to see the safety and changes focused on them and extra parking for the elderly we have in our community. The specific needed changes that are mentioned would make a better use of the City's resources and finances than give bicyclists more then they need.
