I work in the cycling industry and I am opposed to the idea of dedicated bike lanes taking the place of parking on NE 35th.

This is a residential area with families with kids going to and from school. We need places to park! Local businesses, including the library and area churches will be affected by lack of street parking. This is a main arterial to get to several schools, please don’t make this worse for families who need to get their kids safely to school. It is already a main road for busses.

35th Ave NE is already way too busy with cars, I don't see why bikers would want to ride on this busy street! They already have 39th Ave NE that was designated to bikers. Plus parking for local businesses would go away and bus stops would be reduced by 50%. NOT SMART.

End fantasy-based transportation spending! Facts show: 1) on-street parking is valuable and useful, 2) commuter bike volumes have stagnated well below 5%.

It's already a busy street with limited parking. DO NOT remove the street parking.

We live right off of 35th Ave NE & there are already many cars that speed through the side streets presumably to avoid the traffic on 35th. We have lived here for 12 years and have seen congestion on 35th grow. Adding this bicycle lane will remove a significant number of parking spaces, worsen congestion and push more traffic onto our neighborhood streets. There have already been several deaths from motor vehicles hitting pedestrians or bikers on side streets one street up from us. This plan will only increase the risk of this happening more. Please make a plan for a safe bike lane on a side street rather than on 35th Avenue NE.

We live off of 65th above Magnuson Park and the bike lane that is on the South side of the street is rarely used. We have the Burke Gilman Trail, don't need to remove needed road space for bicyclists

I agree that this would not be helpful for 35th Avenue and would cause increased traffic problems.

Let’s put the infrastructure into positive outputs for both cyclist and drivers. Most of these North seattle bike lanes are seldom used I.E roosevelt way ect.

Use a side street like 39th. Better for bikers!

Barely anyone uses the bike pathway from the Butke-Gilman to 39th Ave NE so don’t understand why another 4 blocks up is needs.

As a bike rider myself I feel an alternative route is better than 35th. I am very concerned the cars will drive through near by neighborshood verses 35th. The neighborhoods have schools in the area with many kids and pedestrians on the roads.

Please DO NOT create a bike lane on 35th Avenue NE. It is too dangerous. It would be much safer to put it on a side street.
